![]() ![]() ![]() I have a custom Cat' C4C with a Streak MRM40 paired with an Artemis IV fire control system - upon lock, I hit with 40 missiles at a +9 cluster bonus, meaning the majority of the missiles hit the same spot, usually resulting in a kill. The rewards are a much more interesting game, one that's closer to the tabletop, and improves some of the game play - initiative makes much more sense, evasion pips dont go away unless you get the Unstable debuff.Ĭustomization of mechs - which I've always thought of as the core of this game - is more difficult, but gives you so many more options to build a beast. The starting difficulty is steep, and it doesnt ease off much. It can be overwhelming if you're not already comfortable with the game. RT adds some significant challenges to play, among these the addition of fire, the double-edged sword of friendly fire, playable vehicles (and multiple lances), VTOLs, LAMs (Land/Air Mechs), the entire Battletech map - Inner Sphere, Periphery nations, the Clans. I didnt start playing RT until I'd beaten the vanilla campaign and career several times. ![]()
